Magic in the classroom
When they entered the center, Max’s face was hidden with his hoodie pulled tightly around his drooping head. With a red, tear-stained face, his mother said, “He had a really hard day at school, but he wanted to come here to see you.”
After a short time of reviewing (and rocking!) skills and games already mastered, Max slowly began to pull back his hood, engaged and boosted by the environment where all achievements are celebrated. Finally, he blurted out, “Why am I only smart in your classroom?”
In this moment, the entire concept of Elevate Reading Center began to take shape. Going beyond the ordinary isn’t just how we got our name: it is the very essence of who we are. Students may walk into the center expecting yet another version of their daily school experience, but they will leave as confident readers belonging to a strong community. What they find—and discover about themselves—at Elevate will be extraordinary.
There’s a lot of power in being someone’s teacher. A student can be dragged down by a focus on the frustrations and difficulties—or one can be elevated by a confidence-building reminder of what has already been accomplished. In our classroom, readers experience an atmosphere of positivity that creates enthusiasm and buy-in; many students actually run into the center, ready to jump into the day’s activities.
Students like Anna, who started out saying, “I have dyslexia so I can’t do that”—but doesn’t say that anymore.
Students like Kate, who jubilantly yelled, “I am amazing!” after initially believing the opposite—and then volunteered to read aloud at school for the first time.
Students like Luke, who blew his mother’s mind when he read the kids’ menu to her when they were out to dinner—and then said, “Bet you didn’t know I could read that many words?” with a big smile.
And students like Max, who felt smart in our classroom—and then took that belief out into the wider world as a confident reader who knew he could read words anywhere.

At Elevate, our coaches implement proven methodology for reading instruction, but they do this with a singular focus on creating a calm, encouraging, and team-based environment that builds confidence. Caring and Calm Environment
We’ve created an environment to ensure our readers feel at ease and stress-free. Our classroom decor is calming and simple so the brain can focus solely on the learning. Our language is positive and uplifting so the heart feels joyful. Elevate Reading Center is an inspiring place of love, care, compassion, helpfulness, and growth for our readers, coaches, families, and pets too.

Celebrations
We’re big on celebrating here. Whether it be the mastering of a vowel sound, completing the first chapter book, passing a speed pack, or maybe a birthday; we go big at Elevate! There’s no accomplishment too small, we celebrate them all!
Community Fun
Our readers asked, so we answered! We are extremely happy to host monthly reading game nights, movie nights, and book clubs for our families! Let the good times roll!

We care deeply about our readers and their families and know just how difficult it can be to navigate the many needs of each member. That’s why we’ve done the legwork and built a strong network of local professionals ready to help ensure our Elevate family is well cared for.

Lending Library
Due to the generous donations from Elevate’s friends and families we have a large lending library suitable for all ages. We welcome you to visit us and borrow a book anytime. Feel free to take it home to enjoy it on your own time or relax on our couch by the fire.

We aim to heal the wounds of feeling isolated and unsure in a traditional classroom and create an environment of achievement, happiness, and joy. Success
Every reader WILL learn to read at Elevate. Our methodology and delivery work. There is no need to continue searching for a different system or tutor that can “help.” We will guide every reader through our program and ensure success.
